Management of HBV HBeAg Negative Patients

Welcome to our webcast, “Management of HBV HBeAg (-) Patients", the first in a series of topic specific presentations. The changes in our knowledge of chronic hepatitis B during the past two decades have been profound. The natural history has been more clearly defined, the meaning of serum markers has been redefined with the advents of molecular tests that accurately measure virus directly, and five effective treatments are now available. As a result, patients can benefit greatly, so it is important these advances are rapidly incorporated into clinical practice. I sincerely hope this program provides information to assist you in the management of hepatitis B patients in your own practice. Thank you for participating.

Sincerely,
Eugene R. Schiff, MD MACP, FRCP, MACG
