Visitors to Amsterdam and the coastal Netherlands cannot overlook the sea’s influence as an essential force in Dutch history and culture. The National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) is dedicated to the intricacies of this relationship, with exhibits that span 500 years of maritime history.
Plan to join us in reviewing featured clinical posters, sharing ideas with colleagues, and appreciating the permanent exhibits. Featured are paintings, scale models, weapons and world maps— all history and modernity from the 17th-century Dutch Republic to the present-day Port of Amsterdam.
