The Chronic Liver Disease Foundation is aiming to increase the awareness of the importance of HCV screening and linkage to care among HCV treaters and primary care providers. |
|
|
| Background |
| The recent approvals of direct-acting antivirals for the treatment of HCV and the anticipated introduction of new treatments currently in development will increase treatment options available to providers as well as the number of patients seeking treatment. |
| |
| Implication |
| Experts believe it will become increasingly important for primary care physicians to collaborate with gastroenterologists, hepatologists and other HCV treaters to optimize the screening and care of patients with Hepatitis C. |
| |
| Your Role |
| In an effort to support this collaboration, we ask for your permission to be listed in our National HCV Coalition Resource Directory. By opting in, your name will be posted on this website within the Resource Directory section and included in print pieces distributed to primary care providers only. Opting in implies that you have an interest in treating HCV patients and that you are accepting new HCV patient referrals. Primary care providers will be able to locate HCV treaters they can refer their patients with Hepatitis C to by referencing this Resource Directory. This new opportunity will link providers together. |
