INTRODUCTION: Evaluating the level of knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding Hepatitis B viral infection among the interns of dental colleges in Odisha.
MATERIALS AND METHOD: A questionnaire with 20 closed-ended questions was circulated to 269 interns in the dental colleges of Odisha. A total of 243 interns participated in the study and responded on various aspects of Hepatitis B viral infection including symptoms, transmission mechanisms, preventive measures, and immunization.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The findings revealed that while most dental interns had a basic understanding of Hepatitis B viral infection, significant gaps existed in their knowledge of transmission routes and the importance of vaccination.
